The Dionysades is a small, northward-trending archipelago, off the north coast of Crete, including the uninhabited islets of Dragonada, Gianysada, Paximadaki, and Paximada.
Possibly once a place of worship of the ancient Greek god Dionysus, the Dionysades islets are characterized by a complex relief and steep rocky shores, covered by low shrubs of Mastic trees, tree spurge, and phrygana.
